I just wanted to know if it was spicy.

I was standing in my favourite bookstore: a local bookstore that carries both used and new books. It's got black-and-white tiled floors, bright yellow walls, and a crazy huge selection of books that you can get lost in for hours.

Naturally, I'd much rather spend my time getting lost in those books instead of... you know. Trying to figure out if it's spicy.

I love romance books of all sorts. Everything from sweet romances to fade to black to the spiciest spice that ever spiced, I'm into it. But sometimes you're just in the mood for something specific.

Sure, you can hope that someone on GoodReads will mention if it's spicy or not, but what about when my level of spice is different than your level of spice?

I started Is It Spicy in the hopes that someone out there who is standing in their favourite book store (or Googling madly after finding a new read on their favourite ebook site) will be able to find that answer more easily.

Is It Spicy is not a book review site. There are plenty of other sites and rating systems to check out. And spoiler alert, but I'm also an author, and I don't like leaving bad reviews. The books I feature on Is It Spicy are solely to share how steamy, spicy, kinky, and trigger-y any given book might be.

And yes, that was my shamelessly nonchalant way of letting you know that also write romance books. You can find out more about my writing and books by visiting cherylterra.com
